Pool heating and DM metering

Sites with full-size pools or hydrotherapy facilities often pull more than 73,200 kWh of gas a year, which puts you on (or past) the threshold for daily-metered (DM) connections. DM contracts have separate capacity, transport, and commodity components. Pricing structure is different. We pull apart the line items and compare like-for-like rather than just shopping on headline unit rate. The capacity element is often more negotiable than the unit rate.

Multi-site chains and group renewals

For chains operating several gyms or leisure centres, consolidating onto one gas supplier across the estate beats keeping each on its own renewal. Volume unlocks better unit rates and a single renewal calendar is easier to manage. We model the consolidated quote against keeping sites separate and present the numbers clearly.

Charitable trusts and VAT relief

Many leisure centres are operated by charitable trusts (often as social enterprises). Where charitable status applies, the 5% VAT rate and CCL relief can apply to non-business portions of supply. The supplier needs the VAT declaration form to apply it. We submit it alongside the contract so the lower rate kicks in from day one.
